On my behalf and on behalf of the Society for Rabies in West Africa (RIWA), it is my privilege and honour to invite you to the 5th International Conference on Rabies in West Africa which will be held from 23rd ? 25th October 2018 at Hôtel l?Amitié, Bamako, Mali. The theme of the Conference is: Creating One Health Action for Stepwise Elimination of Rabies in West Africa by 2030: fostering enabling environment for rabies-free Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) sub-region. This Conference provides opportunity for all stake holders in the control of rabies (Physicians, Veterinarians, Academia, Local Government Officials, politicians, security agencies, Local champions) of member countries to meet each other and also with leading experts from around the world, to discuss matters of common interest, and benefit from quality continuing education on Rabies. The conference will recommend strategies for fostering enabling environment for rabies-free ECOWAS sub-region through creating one health actions for stepwise elimination of rabies in West Africa by 2030. While enjoying the rich features of the various scientific presentations and discussion, we hope you will take some time to enjoy the beautiful historic environment and monuments of Mali.
